General Features
- Patented inSight® Sensor embedded within air cylinder.
- inSight® Series cylinders are available in both an NFPA footprint and our non-NFPA “D” Series formfactor giving you sensing capability without exterior addons or mounting compromises.
- InSight® Series cylinders provide a repeatable position signal.
- The inSight® sensor provides improved accuracy and robustness over old reed switches, bulky transducers, and external potentiometers.
- inSight® is a non-contact sensor containing no parts that rub during motion.
- Position data refresh rate greater than 4,000 Hz.
Construction and Material
- Chrome plated steel piston rod.
- Composite rod bearing with rod wiper.
- PTFE Piston Bearing for minimal stiction.
- PTFE Cap Seal.
- Anodized aluminum cylinder tube standard.
- Steel or composite cylinder tubes available upon request.
- Machined solid aluminum endcap.
Electronics
- LED life over 50 years.
- Repeatability within 1% of stroke.
- Temperature compensated analog to digital converter (ADC).
- Power draw of less than 1.3 Watts
- On-board voltage regulator allows power to be supplied between 12V and 36V
System Requirements:
- Maximum Pressure: 135 PSI.
- Clean Dry Air: 0.3 micron fine grade coalescing filter with 5 micron pre-filter.
- Operating Temperature: -20°F to 170°F (-40°C to 80°C).
Additional Information
For complete proportional control, we recommend pairing our inSight® cylinders with the Enfield S2 Positioning System proportional valve. This valve and its specifications are available on Enfield’s website www.enfieldtech.com
