The First Programmable Position Cylinder (PPC)

     A special cylinder for the oil and gas industry uses QVLA® to instrument finger latch or finger board cylinders on oil rigs.  This cylinder with a composite tube, anodized aluminum end caps with a spring extend feature can be daisy chained up to 16 units.  The IP67 connections carry the data via cable to a network box.  From the network box cylinder rod position can be displayed within a Windows environment or converted to Profibus DP-1 for use in Siemens PLCs.
